Jo Fletcher-Saxon

Jo is an Assistant Principal at a sixth form college in East Manchester and has been a teacher for 25 years. She originally started out in early years and then moved into further education to train early years colleagues. Jo now trains new further education teachers and leads adult and higher education within the college.  She has a passion for teacher research and as such leads on opportunities for colleagues across the FE sector to undertake and share practitioner research. She’s an advocate for adult education and is currently co leading a little grassroots programme to keep adult education within the national conversation.

Outside of the day job, Jo co-hosts the #FEresearchpodcast with Alistair Smith and is studying for her third masters level qualification – this time she hopes to continue towards a PhD. Jo is a novice shepherdess and when outdoors, she can usually be found in the fields with her small flock of Black Welsh Mountain sheep.
