Nia’s Show – Mini Masters – The School Takeover

What’s the show about?

This is the show where the kids take over! It’s their chance to shine, show off what they’ve learnt and teach others.

The children conquer questions as part of The School Takeover and pass on the baton to another class in the country.

Hear short stories, happy news, tips of the week and so much more.

When can you hear it?

11am Saturdays

Nia Visser is a broadcaster and content producer with twelve years’ experience across BBC, commercial and independent production companies.

Nia presented her first radio show in the late 90s on her bedroom floor, with the help of her big brother and a nifty double cassette deck.

For the last 4 years, Nia woke up Bucks as one half of the Ben and Nia Breakfast Show on Mix96, the only show with an award winning roundabout! Whilst at the station, Nia launched the Mix96 Mental Health Awareness Month and Mix96 Discovers, supporting local unsigned artists.

She can now be heard on Jazz FM, Bucks Radio and here on Teacher Hug Radio with ‘Mini Masters – The School Takeover’.

Nia is passionate about creating engaging audio and getting young people involved in the process to bring their ideas to life, from audio book recordings to radio schools projects.

With a growing collection of vinyl, Nia is a music fan and performer (Blues Brothers Banned, Nia and the Gramophones), she’s a keen photographer and a self confessed crazy cat lady.
